In 1972, the ICEU was merged with the Development Administration Unit (Development Administration Unit - DAU) and known as the Unit of Coordination, Implementation and Development Administration (Implementation, Coordination and Development Administration Unit - ICDAU). When business development administration moved to the Public Service Department (PSD), this unit is known as the Implementation Coordination Division and later changed to the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister.With the launch of the NEP in 1970, the Government has established National Action Council (MTN) at the Federal level. Two-pronged strategy of the NEP was to eradicate poverty and restructure society. The main role of the MTN is to identify, coordinate and ensure the programs and development projects planned, implemented properly and smoothly by Arahan No. 1, 1971.
Tracing its development plans continue to use more sophisticated computer system at the National Operations Room (BGN). The concept of operating war room for the NEP, the NDP continue to eradicate poverty and restructure society. UPP continues to be the role of the Government to undertake this task. The main task is to determine UPP delivery system (Delivery System) policies, programs and projects that were planned run efficiently and effectively so that the benefits can be enjoyed by the community to achieve national development goals.
